What these research files cover
Our current catalog contains In The Lab Silent Basketball 4.0, SKLZ Bashhhketball Pro and QBounce Silent Basketball 5.0. Each research file explains its published construction, sizing, stated mass where available, intended use and purchasing destinations.
These are research-based assessments. They are not reports of personal use, controlled noise experiments or long-term durability trials. The illustrated balls are visual aids, not photographs proving that a sample was tested.
How to read a product assessment
Start with who it may suit and who should consider another option. Then examine the specification table and limitations. A product can be worth considering for one use while remaining unsuitable for another.
For example, a documented 27.5-inch variant helps a family compare hand fit. A stated 590 g mass gives a different kind of information. Neither fact alone establishes which ball sounds quieter in your building.
Questions we cannot yet answer
We have no controlled cross-product decibel measurements, independent rebound tests, or verified months-long wear observations. We also cannot confirm live stock or current prices. Follow the named retailer or maker link for those details.
If a specification conflicts between sources, the article flags the discrepancy instead of silently choosing the more attractive number. Our methodology explains the evidence standards behind the research.
