Start with circumference, then compare mass
The standard size 7 reference is 29.5 inches. In USA Basketball’s youth guidelines, boys ages 12–14 and high-school boys use a size 7 ball. This reference is not a universal comfort rule for every player or every league.
Foam balls with similar circumferences can have quite different masses. Their feel and rebound can differ even when each is marketed as full-size.
Our researched full-size candidates
SKLZ states a 29.5-inch circumference and 590 g mass for the Bashhhketball Pro. QBounce documents its size 7 as 29.5 inches but does not provide a verified mass in our research.
In The Lab describes its 4.0 as standard men’s size; we did not verify an exact circumference on the product page. Its product page states 325 g while another official page says 315 g. Confirm the current variant rather than treating all three balls as equivalent.
Keep rebound expectations realistic
Published dimensions cannot tell you how every floor will affect bounce. There are no independent comparative rebound or sound measurements in this research set. A return policy and a controlled home trial can be more useful than an unsupported promise of game-ball feel.
Compare the actual specifications and use the research notes to choose what matters most for your practice.
